Whether you’re new to church, new to Christianity, or just new to the Deep South, St Peters is full of people just like you…
How do I get there?
St Peters Church is at 111 Nelson Road, alongside the Fish Hoek sports fields. Get directions here. There is some parking on the church property and plenty alongside the sports fields. Wheelchair access is at the side entrance to the church. Our meetings times are 8am, 10:00am and 6:00pm.
If you need further help to find us or have special needs please contact our office on 021-7856682 or firstname.lastname@example.org
What will church be like?
During the service we sing a few songs together with a band. About 15 minutes into the service the children will be lead out to their Sunday School lessons. While we are all sitting down someone from the front will also lead us in prayer. There’s a collection to help support the work that we do, but this really is only for regulars at St Peters. Please don’t feel any pressure to give, if you are just visiting.
The preacher will then speak to us using the Bible for about 30 minutes and there is a prayer at the end. You can hear some examples of our sermons here.
Church has a pretty relaxed and friendly feel. Each service runs for between 60 and 90 minutes. Afterwards we enjoy freshly brewed filter coffee and tea together. You’re welcome to just come along and check it all out or participate as you feel comfortable.
What to wear and bring
You can dress however you like to church, we don’t mind as long as you’re comfortable. Most guys wear jeans and T-shirts or a hoodie; and girls mostly wear jeans or leggings, casual tops, hoodies or cardies. You don’t need to bring anything except yourself. Bibles are provided by the welcome team on your way in.
But I’m not a Christian!
Don’t worry. St Peters has lots of people from all sorts of faith traditions and non-traditions, all exploring the claims of Jesus Christ. We believe church is the right place for people of all backgrounds to be.
