kids-at-st-petersWe at St Peters want to reach children with the Gospel – we think that this is a vital ministry!  We want to make sure that the children in our church family are growing in their relationship with God.  We also want to reach out to children in the valley and surrounding areas with the good news that Jesus loves them.

Sunday school and Teen Church (Identity)

Sunday school is very important to us at St Peters.  It is an opportunity for the children in our church family to learn from the Bible in a way that they understand.  They get to do this within a community of children who believe the same things that they do – it’s a church within the church.  St Peters has a wonderful team of teachers and helpers who build relationships with the children in their classes and are a positive Christian influence to them.  Children, come along and join us – you’re always welcome.

Teenagers are invited be part of a Bible study for teens during the 9:30am Sunday service.

Christian Unions

St Peters is involved in running the Christian Union groups at some of the local primary schools.  Working with other churches in the area, we go into these schools on a weekly basis, teaching the children about Jesus.  This allows us to be a link between the church and the school.  We are grateful that the schools have been so welcoming and open.

Held in the winter school holidays, this is a fantastic time of year where kids come to have fun, sing songs and hear about the love of God.  It’s open to children from grades R – 9. Warning: it may be the highlight of your child’s year!

Throughout the year, there are children’s talks and activities in the church service at St Peters.  Children are also always welcome at church events, from the services to the social events.  They are part of our church family.
